Where do you think our world is headed?

This NASA composite image shows the entire earth at night. At any given time only half the planet is dark, but this shows all the light visible from space that we produce.

Climate change has been called the greatest threat our civilization has ever faced, and the
scope of the problem extends far beyond what was covered in World Without Winter. The
subject has become (quite literally) a hot debate, and wherever I find news stories on the
web about global warming, numerous comments from readers there accompany them. I find
it encouraging to discover so many others out there who share my views, and invite anyone
who wants to discuss this rationally to participate—whether you’ve read my novel or not. If
you’d rather not add your own comments, you can still explore the ideas further by reading
the posts and other people’s comments on them. Please be aware, however, that the blog
is carefully monitored due to previous problems with spam and abuse on this site. Comments
must now be approved before appearing, so please be patient should you post one. They'll
will be added once they’ve been read and screened for inappropriate content. Many blogs
operate this way out of necessity. Those that don’t can quickly become filled with highly
offensive material and misleading advertisements leading to malicious sites. Such pollution
is not uncommon on the web, but safeguards are in place to prevent it from occurring
here. I’m doing whatever I can to keep it a pollution-free space, as I am with the world
at large. To visit the blog, just click the text link below and it will open in a new window.
